Keep Calm and ...

Οι εικόνες "Keep calm and carry on" κυκλοφορούν παντού τον τελευταίο καιρό.
Όταν ξεκίνησα να τις συναντώ όλο και συχνότερα, έκανα μια αναζήτηση και τελικά ανακάλυψα ότι πρόκειται για μία αφίσα της Κυβέρνησης του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου από το 1939, στην αρχή του Β' Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου.
Αν και αυτό δεν το βρίσκω ιδιαίτερα ευχάριστο ώστε να το φορέσω, έχω συγκεντρώσει μια μεγαλούτσικη συλλογή από εικόνες σε παρόμοιο στυλ, με διάφορα "έξυπνα" μηνύματα.

Πρόσφατα, λοιπόν, έφτιαξα τα πρώτα μου πλαστικοποιημένα σκουλαρίκια χρησιμοποιώντας αυτές τις εικόνες, και όχι μόνο και κόβοντάς τες σαν γραμματόσημα!!!

"Keep calm and carry on" posters seem to be everywhere now.
When i first started to see them more and more often I was curious of their origin, so I discovered that this is a poster produced bu the Government of the UK in 1393, during the beginning of World War II.
Although this is not appealing enough for me to wear, I have gathered a rather big collection of images of the same style, with many "clever" quotes.

I recently made my first laminated earrings using these images and making their edges look like post stamps!!
